What is Lab Materials QuickList?

Lab Materials QuickList is an application which provides an easy way to create a "shopping list" for lab supplies that support the labs you choose to teach.

 

Installing Lab Materials QuickList

There is no automatic installer script for Lab Materials QuickList, so follow the installation instructions carefully (it must be installed manually). From the One-Stop Planner Home Screen, click the "Lab Materials QuickList Installation Instructions" in the Tools list.

 

How do I use Lab Materials QuickList?

  1. Launch Lab Materials QuickList
  2. Enter Student Information (Number of Classes, Total Number of Students, and Total Number of Lab Groups)
  3. Select the labs for which you want to create QuickLists (click individual labs or chapter names to select all labs for a chapter; double-click to deselect). You can also select all labs, all clear all selections, by using the "Clear Selections" and "Select all Labs" buttons at the bottom of the application window.
  4. Click the "Display Selection" button to view your materials list on screen.
  5. To print your materials list, click the "Print Selection" at the bottom of the application window. Click "Selection Screen" to return to the Lab Selection Screen.

 

On the Home Screen Tools list, why won't the Lab Materials QuickList link launch the application (or its installer?)

Lab Materials QuickList must be manually installed by the user from the CD. Click the "Lab Materials QuickList Installation Instructions" to learn how to do this. After installation, the Lab Materials QuickList link in the Tools list will lanch the application. It can also be launched by double-clicking its icon from its installation location on your hard drive.

 

Can I run Lab Materials QuickList directly off the CD-ROM without installing it first?

No, Lab Materials QuickList must be installed onto your hard drive. Follow the "Lab Materials Quicklist Installation Instructions" in the Tools list on the One-Stop Planner Home Screen.
