How-To: Downloading State-Specific Resources for your One-Stop Planner

For Mac/Internet Explorer

What do I do?  What does it look like?

1a. Insert your One-Stop Planner disc

1b. Launch One-Stop Planner

1c. Click on "State-Specific Resources" on the hub screen

2a. Your default browser will open and display a map

2b. Click on your state on the map

(please note that if clicking your state does not result in the browser opening a new page, there are currently no state-specific downloads available for your state for your One-Stop Planner)

3. Click the "Macintosh" link of the resource you are looking for
4. In the "Download Manager" window, the name of the downloading "...sit" file will be highlighted while the file downloads

5. If the downloaded file does not automatically UnStuff itself, locate the file (default download location is usually the Desktop) and double-click the downloaded file to UnStuff it

6a. Locate the UnStuffed folder (in the same location as the downloaded file) and open it, then open its subfolder labeled with the file format you want to use (e.g. "pdf" for Acrobat, "word" for Microsoft Word, etc)

6b. From this subfolder, open the document that you want to view/edit, or install the desired application. To install an application, double-click on the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: State-specific resources in Word or PDF format are not accessible from the One-Stop Planner discs.
